Terms and Conditions of Trade

 

  1. Introduction
    1. Thank you for considering Green N Clean for your property cleaning needs. By accepting our quote, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
  2. Client Responsibilities
  1. Preparation: Please cover or move plants, flowers, furniture, toys, and other items away from the cleaning and gardening areas. Green N Clean is not liable for damage to items left in these areas. Failure to clear these items may result in incomplete work, with full payment still required.
  • Exterior House Washing Excluded Services: Unless explicitly included in your quote, exterior cleaning does not cover decks, pergolas, interior gutters, detached garages, walls, fencing, driveways, or pathways. Quotes for these areas can be provided upon request.
  • Pets: For the safety of both your pets and our staff, ensure all pets are secured away from the work area during services. If dangerous dogs are on the property and not secured, work will be cancelled, and a $75 attendance fee will apply. Pre-paid promotional fees are non-refundable.
  • Tank Water Systems: it is your responsibility to disconnect the water tanks prior to your property being cleaned. For advice on when to reconnect your tanks please discuss this with your operator on the day or feel free to call us. Failure to cancel your appointment will incur a $75 fee or the invoice total whichever is greater. 
  • Asbestos: The client is responsible for notifying Green N Clean of any asbestos present on the property prior to cleaning. If asbestos is present, Green N Clean assumes no liability for any exposure or disturbance of asbestos fibres during the cleaning process. Additionally, Green N Clean cannot carry out any work on properties where asbestos is present
  • Carpet cleaning: Pre-vacuum carpets where possible to ensure optimal results unless otherwise agreed upon. Inform Green N Clean of any specific stains or problem areas requiring special attention before the service begins.
  • Interior Cleaning: Clear countertops, tables, and other surfaces of personal items or fragile items to allow thorough cleaning.
  • Tree and Hedge Trimming: The client must notify Green N Clean of any specific requirements or restrictions related to tree or hedge trimming before the scheduled service. Access to the work area must be unobstructed and safe for our team to perform trimming services.
  • Gardens and Lawns: Ensure the garden is free from obstructions, including outdoor furniture, garden decorations, and pet waste, before lawn mowing or garden maintenance services commence. Removal of excessive debris (e.g., fallen branches or heavy leaf accumulation) prior to our arrival is the client’s responsibility unless agreed upon as part of the service.

  1. Process and Risks
  • High-Pressure Cleaning: Our cleaning uses pressure and chemicals for optimal results. While our technicians are trained to minimize risks, damage may occur due to poor property maintenance, defective materials, or improper prior repairs. Consult your builder to ensure your property is suitable for pressure washing.
  • Waterproofing and Maintenance: Ensure your property, including roofs and electrical fixtures, is watertight and appropriately maintained. Green N Clean is not liable for water damage caused by pre-existing issues.
  • Aluminium Frames: Cleaning may highlight pre-existing fading or bleaching of aluminium surfaces. Green N Clean is not responsible for these conditions.
  • Lawn Mowing and Gardening: Lawn mowing and gardening may result in grass clippings or debris being dispersed. While care is taken to minimize this, clients should ensure windows and nearby items are closed or covered to avoid potential mess. Pre-existing conditions such as uneven ground, hidden obstacles (e.g., rocks or pipes), or overgrown areas may lead to unintended damage.
  • Hedge and Tree Trimming: Tree and hedge trimming services involve the use of power tools, which may generate noise and light debris. Clients should inform neighbours if noise might be a concern. Green N Clean will not be liable for damages to trees, plants, or fences resulting from overgrown or neglected vegetation. Heavy branches or foliage removal may expose previously unseen damage or pests. We recommend follow-up maintenance if significant issues are discovered.
  • Interior Cleaning: Our interior cleaning process includes the use of commercial-grade cleaning agents and equipment. Green N Clean is not liable for damage caused by pre-existing conditions such as weak surfaces, loose fixtures, or improper prior repairs. Surfaces with existing stains, wear, or damage may not return to their original condition despite cleaning efforts.
  • Carpet Cleaning: Carpet cleaning involves the use of water and cleaning solutions. While care is taken to minimize moisture, clients should ensure adequate ventilation to facilitate drying. Stains such as ink, wine, or pet damage may not be fully removable. Green N Clean is not liable for discoloration or Fiber wear due to excessive prior cleaning attempts.
  1. Photography and Video Recording

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree that we may take photographs and/or videos of the work completed on your property for reporting, documentation, and promotional purposes. These materials may be used internally or externally, including but not limited to client reports and marketing materials. If you have any concerns regarding this, please inform us prior to the commencement of work

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By accepting a quote (in writing, verbally, or electronically), you confirm your agreement to these terms and conditions. If you have questions, contact us at 0220377348.

  1. Definitions
  1. “Supplier”: Green N Clean, including its successors and authorized representatives.
  2. “Client”: The individual or company requesting services.
  3. “Price”: The agreed cost of services as outlined in invoices or quotes.
  4. “Works”: Services and materials provided by Green N Clean.
  5. “Labour Charge”: Time spent completing services, including travel and material collection.
  6. “Vehicle Charge”: Costs related to vehicle use.
  1. Payment Terms
  • A minimum two-hour labour charge applies.
  • Payment terms:
    1. On the 20th of the month following invoice issuance.
    2. By progress payments as outlined in the quote.
    3. As specified on the invoice or within 14 days for non-account holders.
  • Payment methods include cash, electronic transfer, or credit card. Include your invoice number and name as payment references.

  1. Default and Penalties
  • Overdue invoices incur 18% annual interest, calculated daily, plus any debt recovery costs.
  1. Changes and Cancellations
  • Variations to services may incur additional charges and adjusted timelines.
  • Failure to cancel appointments will result in a $75 fee or the full invoice amount, whichever is greater.
  1. Liability and Indemnity
  • Green N Clean is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Liability is capped at the cost of services provided.
  • The client assumes responsibility for risks outlined in these terms.
  1. Privacy Policy
  • We may collect, retain, and use client information for credit checks, marketing, or debt recovery.
  • Clients may request corrections to their personal information.
  1. Governing Law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law, under the jurisdiction of Auckland courts.
